Best Hug Ever & Glass in the Foot

We were in our living room downstairs and I was looking at my daughter’s foot.  The light caught a glint, and I realized there was a tiny piece of glass in her foot.  At the same time, my family doctor and another doctor were in our living room.  I also had a chair that I had taken from his old waiting room, since they recently demolished the office.  Dr. M (my doctor) was trying to get the glass out using a pair of tweezers.  Somehow, it was actually me doing it (I was Dr. M?). I couldn’t quite get the piece of glass, the tweezers weren’t sharp enough.   The other doc huffed in and said I was doing it wrong.  He took a cotton pad and put some kind of liquid on it, rubbed it on the foot and the glass came right out. Hm. Weird.  It was much easier and worked better too.
Next B and I were in our room, and there was a knock on the door.  I grabbed a sharp knife, and pulled it out of a sheath.  I decided to put it back in the sheath so I could whip it out if I needed it.  I opened the door, and there was a big man standing there, kind of like an arabian genie looking type man with a knife.  I thought of trying to fight him but knew I had no idea how to wield a knife and he was probably trained. I gave in and was cautious. He came in and said we had to clean our room, we had 5 minutes. I was so nervous, and started cleaning as quickly as I could.
Now, looking around my room, it was really weird.  It was huge actually.  There was a waiting room, with about 5 rows of chairs, all facing a TV, with people sitting in the chairs.  I wondered if I could change the room around of if it had to stay that way because of the TV hook up.  I noticed we had two beds, the regular one and a little single one. I thought we could get rid of the single to make more space.  I saw my dresser, and thought I should push it down to the end of the hall (room had a hall now). I was nervous about that end of the hall, so that’s why I didn’t use that space.  There were two doors in the hall, and the second on was another bed room! I could use that for a walk in closet! But I was scared of that room.  I looked in and to my alarm, there was a stair case going up in the back right corner! What the! I was so nervous now thinking that any one could have come down those stairs from some place (not upstairs of our house), while we were sleeping. Agh!
I went back to the room, and here’s where it’s foggy. I don’t remember who was there….or exactly what happened.  But someone who loved me so much took me up on a ride up to the sky. I was sitting on his lap, facing him, and we floated up around on some type of seat thing, and it was so fun. As we floated back down we were hugging and it felt so good. So much love and contentment. We held on to each other tightly, and I got off.

Back to School!

For some reason, I was about to start grade 12, high school, but I was starting at a different school.  I was really excited about the new endeavor but slightly nervous.  I knew I was nervous, but I took a deep breath and decided to just jump in and do it.
I was wondering where the bus was and hoping I wouldn’t miss it. I saw it drive past, and go down a road to turn.  For some reason I had a scooter that was my moms, so I parked it fast in front of a shop. I had to hurry before the bus got back.  Hmmm what would I do with the keys? I thought about putting them under the seat but instead ran inside and gave them to the cashier and told her they were for my mom and she’d pick them up.
As I waited, there were other kids. They looked at the wallpaper on my phone and said “Is that your boyfriend?” I said “No, my husband”. They were shocked and were like “HOW old are you!!” I thought “Umm how old should I say? Should I say 20? Could a 20 year old be in high school??”
Eventually we got to the school. My name was different though, it was Becky. I was looking all over for my classroom, you had to find your name on the front of one of the doors. I thought I should be in an “L” section. I looked everywhere.  Everyone was really nice to me, I was pretty and cool and I felt much better than I had thought I would feel at a new school.
FINALLY eventually I found my class.  I was looking for a seat, since I was late, all eyes were on me.  Some of the desks were all jammed up and there wasn’t space to sit down in them, but then I found one to sit in.  We were discussing a book that the class was reading.
Next I was at my Aunt’s house, and my school teacher was there. I was complaining to her that I wanted more out of the class, I wanted to talk about the character in the books and what their motivations and feelings were, but no one else in the class cared. I wondered if it was because they were all young and didn’t care and now that I am older I want more out of life.

Putting People in Holes

I was with my friend H, and I forget exactly the first part, but there was a guy who wanted to date her… She wasn’t interested though because she already liked someone else.  I saw then how they met, and thought his posture was kind of bad, but if she loved him, she loved him.  He was now a police officer.
He was digging holes in the ground. I looked down and they were perfect little rectangle holes, about 1’x2′.  I looked up, and there were lots of them.  H and I started walking around them, there were more holes in the ground then there were spots to step on.  It was her BF and other police officers digging them. Ummm…
At that moment, somehow we realized that they were burying all of the people in these! Alive! Every person everywhere! Something was happening, and they had decided that all people would need to be buried (except the police).  We didn’t know what would happen to these people, but they said it was to protect them or something, but holy cow it was terrifying!
H and I started running, to hide.  We were at my Gram’s house, and we ran behind a building. We could see them searching for us, and so we started climbing up the side of the building to get to the ceiling.  It was actually a garage door type of thing we were climbing, made of metal rungs, and they had pushed the button so the door started to go up.
We kept climbing as fast as we could, and eventually got to the top, in the rafters.  They were getting close to us, so we jumped down and ran to the field.  Behind where my Gramp’s barn used to stand was a sort of tunnel type thing.  I realized it was some type of underground barn that Gramp had made for the cows. I looked down in and there were tunnels. I wanted to hide in there but I was scared it could collapse on top of me since it was so old.
I ran back to my Gram’s house and made it in.  The rest of my family was there and I was so glad. I wondered how long we could stay there safely, and wondered if somehow the house was protecting us. We had all already agreed that no one would leave the house, and we were planning to put one family in each room to live/sleep.
I announced that I would rather die than be caught and put in a hole.  I knew some were nervous about what happens when you die, and I assured them heaven is REAL, and they don’t need to worry. I turned to my dad, and knew that he could give more accounts than I about life after death.

Support through the Drips and Drops

I was somewhere eating, and I think it was high school.  I forget the first part or what exactly was going on, but I was sitting with my friends at our table.  Someone was being mean to me, and I can’t remember what she was doing. Blaming me for something or making fun of me.  I got up and left, no way was I going to sit there for that.  I walked out of the building, and when I looked back, my whole group of friends were following me.
One friend, JM said “When you left, I stood up and said ‘We’re walking out too'”. I was so shocked and grateful for their support. I never expected them to stand up and support me that way and I was so very happy.  We walked together now.  It seemed like we were walking the path from my grandparents’ barn, towards their house.
When I got to the house, I was with another friend CL. He came in with me and we stepped into the kitchen.  What the… the ceilings were leaking and dropping. There were two big parts where water was dripping quickly down from the ceiling.  Oh no! I thought for a second… should we try to fix it, or will everything from the room above soon fall through the ceiling and crush us. I decided to do whatever I could to help.
My Grammie was in the other room and for some reason she either didn’t understand or just didn’t know how to deal with the situation.
My friend  put his hand on my lower back and guided me around the room. I felt so much support, care, and love from him that the job seemed a lot easier.
I bend down and started digging through the cupboards until I found two large bowls or pots and placed them under the drips. I got towels and cleaned up the rest of the water from the floors.

Guest Blogger: Sometimes Men Need to Dig

Guess what?  For the first time, I’m welcoming a guest blogger to post a dream.  And who better than my very own mom.  She told me her dream today, and by the end of it we were both laughing so hard I told her we’d have to write it down and add it to the blog.  I’m not even sure what struck us so funny, I think it was the part about the men digging.  Here you go folks!

I had just watched a tv show before going to bed, about a family business that they were thinking of expanding and adding other lines of items to sell. So in my dream my husband Jim and I had purchased a retail store in Moncton and were thinking of expanding it. It appeared to be some kind of either sporting goods store, or some manly store.

I was visiting the store for the first time and there were a few things I was interested in. So I carried these items in the top of my purse since I didn’t get a basket or cart. Anyway, one of the staff noticed me and asked it I had paid for my stuff, so I said no, but I will be. Well, he almost burst with excitement that he was catching a thief, so then I explained I was the new owner and it kind of deflated him.

Jim and I were looking over the store and came to this huge area full of sand. There was dry sand and wet clumped sand and I said, what on Earth is this all about?! Jim told me it was a new area, that sometimes men just need to dig! In this area were all kinds of men with shovels, digging in the sand! Some were digging big lumps of wet sand out of deep areas and some were just digging the dry stuff up and then watching it fall from their shovels. Weird. But I guess it was satisfying since that area of the store was the busiest.

Then we went to see how the check out system was working, but there was a big line up so we went around it to the front. The lone cashier was up on a pedestal area and customers were climbing up a few steps to her. I told Jim “Something must be wrong, we’d better check this out!” We walked up to her and she didn’t know how to use the cash register so she was using a little hand calculator and was trying to figure out the totals, taxes and change. It looked like a disaster, but she did get the customers all looked after and then was happy to show us her system.

The Purple Dress Competition

I was on the back of some type or trailer driving down the road with a tonnes of people on it. My old boss, J, was in front of me. She moved closer to the front and so did I but I didn’t want her to think I was following her, but I found it interesting how easy it was to move closer to the front if you just weave in through the crowd.  A friend, Sara was right beside me when I looked up and I wondered if she thought I thought she was following me, how I had worried about earlier.
To the right, was an old friend CP. I reached my hand out and we held hands for the rest of the ride.  Next I was in a different type of car, with 6 or 8 girls, we were all dressed in big fluffy dresses. R was wearing a yellow dress and she asked why I had worn my light purple dress since she had recently talked about it in her blog or something.
We arrived at our destination.  My dress was big and fancy, light purple, covered in crystals and sparkles.  When the carriage (?) stopped, I stepped out. I threw my shoes on the ground to step into. They looked too small but some part of me knew that iot was a dream so I willed them to fit.  They were very high heels and I slipped them on easily. Someone said to be careful but I walked fine.
My escort was CP from earlier.
I walked into a room, and I was announced. It was some type of competition.  They announced me as working as an advertising recruiter for a law firm, and asked if I still worked there. I agreed because I didn’t want to get into details of where I worked now and hoped they didn’t press further. One man said, oh are you going to be published in the bla bla blabla bla bla book? (Some technical law book), and I said I wasn’t sure.  My escort hadn’t arrived, and I was so upset and mad at him for leaving me there myself.  Finally he arrived! He was wearing man high heels so he was the same height as me.  I went down the 3 or 4 steps myself, but then they asked me to come back up.  There was a tall thin man with curly hair standing on the stage. When I got to the top step I put my hand out, and he took my hand and helped me up the last step, and kissed my hand.
I stood up with my escort, and the tall man was whispering to me how to hold my hand and where to point my nails (they were sparkly long purple nails).  Then, they announced I had won! I couldn’t believe it!  There had only been one person ahead of me, so they hadn’t even seen everyone but they had decided I was so refreshing that I had won. I thanked everyone and curtsied and went back to my room.
I was at my room relaxing and there was a knock on the door. I went to open the door and it was the female judge.  She asked me to come with her. I didn’t have my shoes on so I went in my stocking feet.  When we got there I hoped no one would notice.  I tried to make sure my dress covered my bare feet.
While standing up again on the platform, the lady said they had another thing for me to do. She said “Sing a fast song.  At least a verse and a chorus”. Umm ummm ummm my mind was blank.
I started singing “We wish you a merry Christmas” but she said no, no holiday music. I racked my brain over and over.  What could I sing?!?!
Suddenly, I started singing “Sunrise, Sunset”.  I was off key and forgot lots of words but made them up.  When I finished they were so pleased! They couldn’t believe I would have chosen such a great song. They all applauded, and I was allowed to leave. First though they played it back for me and it actually sounded much better than I had thought.
The lady judge followed me and told me I had so much potential and that maybe she would have to be my coach since I had never been coached before.
Just then, the door opened and about 10 girls came in. I knew they were the rest from the competition. They were all about 2 feet shorter than me, with blond hair and pink dresses. I thought they would be mad and mean to me since I won but they weren’t.   was some type of rare beauty that they liked. I was Canadian and they were British or something.  I was out of place because I felt so tall and big, but it was ok.  I suddenly wished I had sang “Ice Ice Baby” instead. That’s a really fast song. I wondered if that would have been better.

Sky Diving and Curse Breaking (OUAT)

We were skydiving over Disney World.  There were about 30 of us, friends and family, all sky diving. We knew we were over Disney because we could see the Mickey Mouse Club House down there.  We were each holding a balloon, which was keeping us sort of afloat, and we were drifting down and to the right. The balloons were the kind you could buy at Disney, big Mylar balloons of Tinkerbell, Minnie Mouse, Ect.
I looked down and we were still so far from even reaching the clouds!  At this rate, we would float way past Disney by the time we landed. I suggested to everyone that we let go of the balloons so speed up the landing. We all did.  Some people were falling at faster rates than others, and I was trying to keep everyone more or less together.  My mom and I were both holding on to my Grampie W who passed away a few years ago. We knew he had died but that he was there.  I asked him if this was weird for him, falling from the sky and he said yes, and he looked nervous.

Soon we were to the clouds, and it was foggy as we passed through.  I worried as we fell that I would have to go WAY back to the beginning of Disney world to get my shoes. Shoot.
We all landed, and we were in the very last part of Disney. Well the Disney that’s always in my dreams. We were at the Caboose restaurant.  There were people eating but it wasn’t too busy because it was mid afternoon. Thankfully, the man in charge had brought our shoes over so we wouldn’t have to go back and get them.
The scene changed and I was in a house. I had a little key and I was trying to turn it. I also had the password, which the first “number” was a picture of a round of cheese. Weird.  I guess I was Emma Swan from OUAT, and Regina and I had to get this key to unlock the curse and break all of the curse. Anyway, we realized that we had the wrong key. We had to go back to another guy’s house to get the right one.
We went into his house, and he was magic or something too, and desperate. He was once really bad but sort of had become good but we still couldn’t totally trust him. Somehow I managed to swipe all of the little keys, and we started running back to the house. (They were old historic looking houses).  The man and his friends were chasing us, but Regina put up a magic wall that would hold them back for a minute.
We got back to the house and they key worked!
Regina, and I were sitting around a large old table with a few of our friends.  Because they curse was broke we could each say one hope or dream that we wanted to happen.  The girl beside me with long blonde hair wished she could be a man again (I guess the curse had changed her into a woman). She didn’t know where she would live and Regina said she could stay there. My turn. I wished to live happily with Henry, find the love of my life, and be able to open my heart to love.
I thought about who it could be. At first I thought maybe it would be George from Hart of Dixie, but hoped it wouldn’t.  Just then a group of guys came to the door. They looked in the window (but I had my back to the window, so I didn’t see).  Everyone at the table except Regina and I passed out. What the… I realized after that they had all fainted at the handsomeness of a blonde man in the window (ha).
Then there was a knock on the door, and it was the blonde man. He asked for the woman with the long blonde hair (me).  His voice was a bit shaky like he couldn’t believe what he had seen.
I went to the door, and my knees grew weak, and I fainted, face down. When I got up I was so disoriented, I tried to go out the door but I ended up going the wrong way.  The man held me up and hugged me. He was about a foot taller than me, and wore a light blue, soft t-shirt. I had my cheek on his chest and I looked up at him to talk to him. I realized he looked like a teenager. I was like 35 or something, how could a teenager be in love with me and vice versa?  He had an English accent, and said “Oh Emma. I’ve been watching you since they day you were born. I love you so deeply, I’ll grown and wait for you”. I got the impression *as an outsider looking in), that he wasn’t actually a teenager.  He had been around a looong time somehow. I was so happy he had found me though

The Prince, the Stocky Man & Rumpelstiltskin

It started out that I was starting at a new job, in a big old brick/stone building. I went into the room on the third or 4th floor, and there were two girls there. They were kind of snobby and particular. One said that the boss wanted to talk to me on the phone. I hadn’t met him yet.  I took the phone and said in a nice phone voice “Hello~~”. I knew it annoyed the girls, thinking I was using a fake voice. The boss sounded excited and eager.
The boss asked me to look out the window. I could see down and he was down there working, building something with a few other guys. They were all smiling and asked me which room I was in so they could look up and see me. Now I had a large hat on, and I sort of hid behind it, but looked out the window. The boss saw me now, and beamed at me.  I went away from the window. He was beautiful and it made me nervous.
Now, I’m not sure if the boss was the same person but I think he was. We were a couple now, and we were walking down the hall together, hand in hand. It was really important for him that I always act completely proper. I think he was a prince actually, so there were a lot of customs to follow.  I forget what I did, but it made him mad because it wasn’t how I was supposed to act. He was so mad at me, and it felt like our relationship might end.
Fast forward. We were all in a banquet hall. Things were made of stone, ect.  There was a man there, he was shorter than the Prince, a bit stocky, with mousy brown hair, cut short with bangs, dressed in brown clothes.  Flash back, and I remembered he had come to my father to ask for my hand in marriage (This was all happening centuries ago I believe).  The same day, the prince had asked for my hand.  My father had chosen the prince, but not because he had more money, just because it was the better choice and I had felt more love for him.
The man in brown was very scorned and had carried around that anger.  I noticed him in the room, sitting behind us, and I asked my prince to ready his sword, because it seemed there would be an attack.  Before my prince had time to defend himself, the man in brown had stabbed him with tiny little swords the size of dinner forks. He had two of them. He planned to stab the eyes of my prince I think.  Something was weird too, like his own eyes had been stabbed (by himself?). It was terrifying.
I ran to my prince, he was laying on the ground with other surrounding him.  I got down on the floor and kissed his lips. True love’s kiss.  If anything could save him, it would be true love’s kiss. He started to wake a bit. I kissed him again, and could feel a bit of strength coming back. I knew then that our fight had been so trivial, and that we truly loved each other deeply.
Just then the door opened. There was Rumpelstiltskin, and his father (Not the Peter Pan version, but the regular man).  I knew somehow something had happened and they had come back to life. I was so relieved, Rumpel was alive!  They were obviously weak. I hugged Rumpel and asked frantically “Do you have magic?!”.  He nodded that yes he did. I said “Please you have to help us! That man is terrorizing the kingdom and if we don’t stop him he will kill everyone!!”
Then I woke up.

Portal to Another World

I don’t remember entirely this dream, but since it was the second of the same nature this week, I thought I should write it down.
It started out that my Dad and I were in another country. Somewhere like Indonesia or Philippines, or something.  We were at a market, and I needed some cold medicine. My dad walked in and said “Do you have any drugs?!” He meant medicine, but I was like “DAD! You can’t say that here in the middle of the street!”. I guess the guy understood Korean because I asked for medicine in Korean. First I asked for headache medicine, and he didn’t have any, so I asked for cold medicine. He said wait he’d go get some. He had to go to another shop to buy them and I wished I had known there was a Yak Guk (Pharmacy) near, and I could have gone myself. He came back with a blister pack of medicine.
At that moment, I knew something was wrong. I knew we were about to be attacked.  They had been suspicious of us, and they were worried (even though we really were no threat). The shop keeper was handing me the medicine, but I could see in my eyes, he was waiting for someone on the outside to jump in. To protect us, I had to kill one of their people.  After I killed that one person, I killed several more. There were a lot of them.
I was running away, trying to escape, when a whole bunch of them came in with weapons. Clubs, knives… I was so outnumbered, someone told me to run up to the ceiling. I was walking along the beams of the ceiling trying to escape.  I knew I had to get out of this place. Somehow, I knew I had to get to a different land, I needed a portal. I reached into my pocket and found a magic bean. I threw it out in front of me, and jumped.  There was water below, and a portal had opened. I landed with a thud back in my own time.
Next scene, I was with my brother, sister in law, mom, family ect.  My brother said he had brought this woman in, and I had to go meet her. I realized it was a woman from the group of people I had just fought. WHAT! WHY did he bring her? I finally just escaped! I was so stressed and worried about going to meet her, and that she could hurt/kill me. I regretted that i had killed those people, but at the time it had felt like the only way. I looked back and thought, I had to kill the first one, and then after that I just kept going…. maybe I over did it…. I was feeling regretful, and torn about what I had done and what had to have been done.
So the weird thing, a few days ago, I had a similar dream. Suddenly I fell through a portal or something into this different time and place.  I forget everything that had happened, but there was a struggle and fight with one group of people. The chief or someone and his people.  When they were gone, it was just me and this one woman alone. (I was a man).  She didn’t trust me, and I knew that. I didn’t trust her either. She acted like we might be able to live half peacefully, but I knew at any second she could spring on me and try to attack me.  I forget what else happened though because it morphed into a dream about us going to Cuba for vacation, and Cuba Gooding Junior working at the security booth.
